Chad Tilbury
I have been fortunate to enjoy a diverse career centered on network security and computer crime investigations. After graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy and receiving a M.S. in Computer Science from Northeastern University, I joined the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. As a Special Agent I worked with some of the most talented individuals in the field, investigating and performing computer forensics for a vast number of crimes, including hacking, abduction, espionage, identity theft and multi-million dollar fraud cases. Upon leaving AFOSI, I worked as a security engineer and forensics lead for a major defense contractor. Following that, I served as Vice President and Director of Worldwide Internet Enforcement for the Motion Picture Association of America, managing Internet anti-piracy teams for the seven major movie studios in over sixty countries. More recently, I spent eight years as a consultant with Mandiant and CrowdStrike, leading international forensic teams and conducting computer incident response at some of the largest organizations in the world. My time is currently divided between digital forensics and incident response consulting and serving as a senior instructor and course author at the SANS Institute.
